They say every dog has its day…well that certainly was true for a number of lucky pooches (and kitties!) who were at the receiving end of C21 Redwood Fredericksburg’s recent Agents for Animals initiative, as part of Redwood Gives Back, with donations going to the Fredericksburg SPCA.
The weather was Virginia at its best – sunny and warm, but not too hot for our four-legged friends. Over 250 people stopped by to enjoy the different booths, though the 2 most popular may arguably have been the face painting booth:
…and the pet photography booth. Seriously, check out Debby Martinich‘s extraordinary photo skills:
Both women were generous enough to donate their time and skills on behalf of the SPCA, and any funds received went straight to the SPCA as well!
Here’s a glimpse of both of their handiworks at once:
Another special treat for everyone was the mouthwatering BBQ created by our one and only Mark Geslock, who’s the EVP of our Fredericksburg office. (FYI, if you haven’t tasted one of Mark’s amazing BBQ creations, you haven’t lived.)
All of this was put up and taken down by our awesome agent volunteers, who put their time and muscle on the line to make all this happen.
What was the end result? Besides a car full of goodies for man and woman’s best friend,
$1600 was raised that day for the SPCA. Thank you especially to Walt’s Construction for their generous $500 donation, and all the agents and online donations. As part of our Redwood Gives Back program, Century 21 Redwood Realty matched that, giving a grand total of $3,200 for the SPCA as a result of our Fredericksburg office’s hard work!
Thank you so much to everyone who participated leading up to and during the Agents for Animals event. We truly couldn’t have done it without you. Thank as well to everyone who donated their time, money and art to make this such a successful event. You rock!
